Poets & Prose Coffee is a woman-owned Canadian specialty coffee roastery. We deliver freshly roasted, single-origin coffee beans and grounds across Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, and Milton. Our mission is to make excellent, ethically sourced coffee more accessible while supporting transparency and fair pricing.
2. Where do you source your coffee beans?
We source directly from some of the world’s best coffee farms, including Cup of Excellence–winning farms in Brazil, women-owned farms in Guatemala, and women-led cooperatives in Colombia. Our coffees are produced using sustainable and organic practices, ensuring both quality and respect for the farmers and the environment.
3. Are your coffees organic and ethically sourced?
Yes! Our coffees are grown using organic and sustainable farming practices. We prioritize direct trade relationships with farmers, ensuring fair compensation, ethical sourcing, and transparency throughout the supply chain. Many of our coffees come from farms and cooperatives that empower women and local communities.
4. Do you roast your coffee in small batches?
Absolutely. We are a small-batch Canadian coffee roaster. Each batch is roasted fresh to highlight the unique flavors of each origin—whether it’s the fruity brightness of Kenyan beans, the smooth body of Brazilian coffee, or the rich sweetness of Colombian roasts.
5. Do you ship outside of Oakville or the GTA?
Yes, we ship across Canada. Customers in Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, and Milton enjoy fast delivery, but we also ship nationwide so everyone can enjoy fresh specialty coffee at home.
6. What types of coffee do you offer?
We offer a rotating menu of single-origin coffees, including medium roasts, dark roasts, and decaf. 7. How fresh is your coffee?
Freshness is everything. We roast to order in Kitchener, Ontario, and recommend a short rest period for degassing. Most of our customers enjoy their coffee within days of roasting, ensuring maximum flavor and aroma.

9. Where do you roast your coffee?
All of our coffee is roasted in a commercial facility in Kitchener, Ontario. The facility is powered by Bullfrog Power renewable energy. This ensures our roasting process is not only small-batch and precise but also environmentally responsible, reducing our carbon footprint while producing exceptional specialty coffee.
